The family's instruments are infrared-based: the range includes an infrared biogas detector in the analyzer line, and the MIC300-F08 NDIR platform measures exactly the biogas trio — CH4 and CO2 as the bulk pair, H2S as the corrosive trace — alongside its other gases. Syngas analysis applies the same infrared approach to CO, CO2, CH4 and H2S in gasification streams, and landfill gas work uses the same parameter set at wells and collection points.

What gets measured and why
Methane percentage is the money number: it sets the energy content. Carbon dioxide completes the bulk balance. Hydrogen sulfide, even at ppm levels, decides maintenance intervals for engines and upgrading equipment. Oxygen ingress warns of air leaks into the collection system — a safety and quality issue at once.
Measurement points split into portable survey duty (wellheads, condensate traps, engine inlets) and online duty (continuous feed to the control system). The F08's published sampling conditions — flow, pressure, temperature windows — are the template for either conversation.
Landfill gas
Landfill sites use the same analyzers for wellfield balancing and surface-emission work: methane and CO2 for generation health, H2S and oxygen for safety and air ingress. The landfill application guide connects the analyzer choice to site practice.
